Paul Kawakami will be presenting in August. Paul's practice covers a wide range of real estate transactional and business matters, and he frequently publishes articles and speaks on real estate and diversity matters. Paul will share his expertise on the following topics:

• How the main commercial real estate product types in the Bay Area (i.e., office, industrial, multifamily, & retail) have been affected by the Shelter in Place orders and how they’re currently planning to re-open; and/or
• New local & statewide laws (other than Shelter in Place) that are impacting landlords & tenants of commercial & residential real estate.  For example, both SF & Oakland (and too many other cities & counties to keep track of) have enacted ordinances that basically prevent landlords from terminating residential or commercial leases due to nonpayment of rent, if the tenant has been financially impacted by COVID-19.

Special Information: The zoom meeting will open at 7 am but the official meeting will not start until 7:30 am. If you want to join early, you can chat with each other before the meeting starts at 7:30 am.
