Our speaker is Laurie E. Hall of Synthesis Law. Laurie helps companies of all sizes build their businesses and develop and protect their brands and other intellectual property, with an emphasis on trademark and copyright clearance, registration, licensing, enforcement, litigation, IP due diligence, rights of publicity, and anti-counterfeiting, as well as drafting, negotiating and enforcing commercial contracts.  She was previously Senior Corporate Counsel at The Wine Group, a partner at Duane Morris LLP, special counsel at Townsend and Townsend and Crew (now Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton), and an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law.  Laurie received her B.A. from UC Berkeley and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center 

Presentation: Trademarks and Other Brand Protection:  The basics of creation, selection, clearance, registration, and enforcement of trademarks and other brand-related intellectual property, such as copyrights, domain names, and social media identifiers.
